Aya Nouwailati is the artist behind White Deer Creations. She began her pyrographic practice in Lincolnshire during lockdown, taught by a close friend, and having worked since then on beautiful wood-burning plaques such as the ones presented.
In this series, every hand represents a different goddess, inspired by renaissance and victorian painting. Below we picked those associated with the spring: Ostara of course, the celtic goddess of the season; Lady Luck or Fortuna, and Persephone and her pomegranate, Queen of the Underworld and Spring Growth.
